Michael Fassbender and his very long...scarf*

After the credits rolled I looked over at Danny and just wanted him to hold and comfort me in his arms. Although Shame is chock full of nudity and raw sex, it is not at all sexually arousing. Rather, you'll leave the theatre with feelings of disgust, despair, sadness, and curiosity. Michael Fassbender puts in a stunning performance as a seemingly successful man struggling with a serious sex addiction. At times tender and desperate, but mostly cold and detached, Fassbender plays the character Brandon perfectly, conveying lust with just a glance of his cold blue eyes. This film is stark, depressing, and a definite eye-opener into a world that is seldom discussed and mostly met with disbelief.
