A rainy Sunday is...

...pulling the covers off the bed and getting lost in the thick blankets, hiding yourself under all that warmth while consuming film after film in a lazy attempt to procrastinate the inevitable task in which you must complete by the end of today

...brewing a big mug of fragrant tea and feeling the hot liquid burn the inside of your mouth

...connecting with old friends on the phone and forgetting that they're miles away from you, only to realize the immense distance at the moment of goodbye and missing them so much you could almost cry

...looking out the window and watching the rain hit the balcony

...making a big tofu salad with sesame dressing and bonito flakes

...sleeping away responsibility in an afternoon nap in which you dream about red bean ice cream, running up steps in the rain to a white van filled with people, an ex-friend from years ago, and a Scottish accent




...knowing that there was a spark
